Audio or Pronunciation Not Playing

If you can't hear word pronunciations or sound effects in Sound Safari:

Check your device volume:

- Make sure your device isn't on silent (check the mute switch on the side of your iPhone)

- Turn up the volume using the side buttons

- If using Bluetooth headphones, check they're connected

Check in-app audio settings:

1. Open Sound Safari

2. Go to Settings

3. Scroll to the Voice section and make sure Voice Enabled is on

4. Tap Test Voice to hear a sample — and check Sound Effects under Session Controls

If audio still doesn't work:

- Close and reopen the app

- Try with headphones vs speakers

- Restart your device

- Check if other apps have audio (to rule out a hardware issue)

Note: every practice word ships with a recorded pronunciation. If playback stops entirely, the steps above resolve it in almost every case — Test Voice in Settings confirms audio is working.
