Common Issues and Solutions

Fixes for syncing, audio, subscription, and data issues

Data not syncing between devices:

  • Confirm you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices

  • Enable iCloud for Sound Safari in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud

  • Ensure both devices have internet — changes may take a few minutes

App running slowly or crashing:

  • Update to the latest version from the App Store

  • Restart the app by swiping it away and reopening

  • Restart your device if the issue persists

No audio or pronunciations:

  • Check that silent mode is off (side switch on iPhone/iPad)

  • Turn up the volume

  • Disconnect unintended Bluetooth devices

Subscription not showing as active:

  • Go to app Settings → Restore Purchases

  • Verify in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions

Lost student data: With iCloud enabled and the same Apple ID, data syncs back automatically. Data created without iCloud may only exist on the original device.
