Completing Homework from Your Therapist

How to open, practice, and share results from homework your therapist assigned.

In the Sound Safari app

If you use the app, homework shows up automatically: open the Homework tab, pick your child, and tap the assignment to start practicing. Results sync back to your therapist.

Your therapist may send you a homework link via text message or email. Here's how to use it:

Opening the homework:

  1. Tap the link your therapist sent you

  2. It opens in your phone's browser — no app download needed

  3. You'll see your child's assigned words with pictures

Practicing with your child:

  1. Tap "Start Practice"

  2. Show your child each word card (picture + word + pronunciation guide)

  3. Have your child say the word

  4. Tap "Correct" or "Incorrect" based on their attempt

  5. Continue through all the words

After practice:

  • You'll see a results screen with the accuracy percentage

  • Tap "Share Results with Therapist" to send the score

  • Results also sync automatically to your therapist's app

  • Tap "Practice Again" to try another round

Tips for success:

  • Keep sessions short — 5 to 10 minutes works best

  • Practice in a quiet space without distractions

  • Celebrate effort, not just perfect production

  • Practice a few times before the next appointment
